Loving-kindness greatly enhances your ability to stay mindful in both meditation practice and daily life. To practice loving-kindness meditation, repeat the following phrases, beginning first with someone who you respect (a teacher, mentor or benefactor), followed by someone beloved (a close family member or friend), then a neutral person (someone you know but have no special feelings for), and finally a difficult person in your life.
